Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is where she was raised and was born in California. Her first role as an actor was in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get an appearance in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had transition from modelling to the acting profession. Models aren't regarded as the best actors, so they usually get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger parts beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy achieved the fame she'd been seeking for over 10 years, when her movie called Just Friends came out. The actress continued to appear in important films like Crank with Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved recurring part of the cast.
