Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle, she landed a role in the 'Starship Troopers' series the film Starship Troopers. It was at first was difficult for Amy to switch from modelling to acting. The reason is that most models aren't great actors. And they are usually given insignificant and small roles. Amy was determined to keep trying. She worked her way up into bigger roles, beginning with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy then moved into leading roles in the love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she'd been looking for more than a decade. Amy continued to make important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she portrayed the well-loved character of recurring.
